Tip of the Week: Never Believe the Comment, "Great Presentation."

I have given plenty of lousy presentations in my career.  It is not uncommon to receive a comment "great presentation" after thoughly confusing an audience.  People want to be nice.  They don't interrupt when they don't understand and they often compliment you, no matter how bad your presentation might be.

You need a friend in the audience who can give you an honest assessment.  Better yet, you should dry run every presentation with tough critics.
